What can I say? Not much judging these short videos. But I say a few words anyways by the first impression that can be very misleading anyways.
Moldova is a bit let down, not at all so powerful and energetic as I expected. Vocals seem to be off, too.
Sweden. Same as Moldova. Which makes me think these vids are on purpose a mess.
Croatia seems very busy and a bit too serious and angry. I have said before and I repeat myself: angry women don't do well in Eurovision .
Greece.... Oh well, looks rather chaotic and his voice a bit weak. But then again it's a rehearsal. Need to see the whole package but doesn't look like a winner despite all. This said my favorite performance of them all is the Greek national final preview with only one hanging mic. That was fab and let Akylas show all his charm. Now he disappears into his visuals.
Portugal stands out with the pretty staging, calm song and good voices. They're so sailing to the final!
Georgia was on my list to qualify but no, not with this choreography and those outfits after all. Such a shame.
Finland with the news Linda Lampenius has been granted a permission to play violin live on stage. Now that adds another element of danger on the performance. The vid did really show us nothing but still one can see they have changed shots and Pete is more close ups and varied. And was it also shorter than the others? And we sure had to wait for it: past 11pm in Finland.
Montenegro. Those nails, that outfit, those poses. No. They don't help. A NQ in my books still.
Estonia. More rock and more missed notes and rabbit in the spotlights looks..... Despite that I wouldn't be surprised if this still makes it to Saturday.
IsraeL is another one with forced weaker vocals than expected, or is it the sound of these clips? And sadly the most useless part of the song, those lines in English in there a bit. For me those lines pretty much ruin the song as they don't fit at all and sound so different from French/Hebrew and break the mood.
