EUROVISION 2026: FINLAND HAD A RECORD AUDIENCE AS 2,6 MILLION WATCHED VIENNA 2026

A week after Eurovision 2026 final let's have a look at the viewing figures around Europe, those that have been published so far at least....

Bulgaria 588.591, peak up to 895.000, share of 45,7%. Second most watched ever after 2017

Austria 1.573.000, share of 78%. The highest since 2015 when Austria hosted.

Greece 2.822.000, share of 70,5% peaking at 83%. Highest since 2011.

Italy 5.098.000 and share of 36%, up 342.000 and continuing the growth.

Finland 2.600.000 on tv + 1,400.000 online platform. The most watched since 2007 when Finland hosted. The average was 1,800.000. Slightly up from last year.

Romania 339.000, share of 11%

Czechia had the highest figures in a decade.

Poland 2,500.000 with a peak of 3.300.000 when Alicja was performing.

Australia scored its second highest combined audience since its debut in 2015 with a total of 3.270.000 viewers for the three shows live or on demand.

Israel had 32,7% share peaking at 53,2% or 1,700.000 when Bettan was on stage.

Denmark 847.000, up 50.000 from 2025 and biggest audience since 2019.

Lithuania 762.900 watched the contest at least for a minute

Germany 8.940.000 share 64,5 (down 2,2%)

France 3.986.000 share 33,3% (down 1.298.000, down 6,7% in share, least watched since 2023

Netherlands 788.000 (last year 2.792.000) , share of 4,8% (last year 61,3%), lowest since 2008. However 2.185.000 viewers watched at least one minute of the 4 hour show.

United Kingdom 5,200.000 down 1.490.000 last year with share of 54%. Lowest since 2010 and including streaming etc could be the lowest ever.

Norway 676.000, share of 80% but still the lowest audience since 2007!

Sweden 1.949.000 down 628.000. Lowest in 16 years

Portugal had its weakest audience since 2019 with 465.000, down 51,9% and share of 11,2%.

Belgium had its lowest combined audience since 2018 with 602.000, down 110.000.

Eurovision Youtube 1,303.000, down 8% from 2025 even if available in USA and the onlu solution in Soain, Ireland, Slovenia

FINLAND: CONGRATS HANNA PAKARINEN - BABY IS COMING!

No more leave me alones as Eurovision 2007 veteran Hanna Pakarinen has published in her Youtube channel a video unboxing the Finnish state's maternity box aka layette set thus announcing she's due to have a baby later this spring. Congratulations!

ESC 2016 WISH LIST: MARGARET FOR POLAND

Małgorzata Jamroży aka Margaret has also been tipped for Eurovision and apparently she did turn it down but she'd be perfect. She's got a look and persona you can't unnotice nor forget, she's got hit songs, she has been voted or nominated for everything from Trendy artist to the Hope of the Year, Fashion Icon and Glamour Woman of the year besides the usual best video, song, album, debut..... Oh she's also a fashion designer! She's very clever with social medias and would surely use it to her advantage if selected for Stockholm 2016. Her debut album is titled Add the blonde , do we need to say more? Except it includes mostly Swedish written pop tunes like Tell me how are ya , Wasted , Start a fire and Heartbeat . And of course her debut single and internationally noticed Thank you very much that you can enjoy below with all its anti-textil feel. I think she's Eurovision perfection, she's cheeky and fun, can we have her?

AZERBAIJAN: CHINGIZ SHOWS US THE NEAR NAKED TRUTH

Well, almost. Now that Azerbaijan has risen up to the Top-5 in beting odds to win it all with Chingiz's Truth they are not holding it back and all tricks are welcome to attire some attention. And when they have a specimen like Chingiz why not strip him and show us the almost whole naked truth? So, they must have been thinking and who can blame them? Here is the result. Enjoy! Sabina Babayeva for Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani selection show for the represant was as long as the selection process for the five finalists. Kurt Calleja from Malta and Can Bonomo from Turkey were present with Ell/Nikki to see Sabina Babayeva to emerge as the winner after each and every finalist had done about zillion songs amongst other guests. Now the Azeri TV will shop around a suitable song for her.

ESC 2015: POLINA GAGARINA THEN AND NOW

28-year-old Polina started her career in a tv-talent show (just like Måns and Il Volo). After winning it she though joined a girlband before going solo. She managed to release her debut album before marrying and having a child and gaining 20 kilos (to those extra 20 kilos she claims she had back then). The marriage failed, she started her career again, released another album, lost her 40 kilos, dyed her hair blond and had a string of hits and even had time to remarry and show off her new naked body in a men's magazine before she heard a million voices. Now that's a trasformation!

SWEDEN TRIES TO STEAL THE FINNISH KISS

We all know about Krista Siegfrids "lesbian kiss" and reactions to it in worldwide media, and especially in some more conservative countries like Turkey, Georgia and Greece (this blogger is still waiting for reactions from Azerbaijan and Russia). But that's not all, SVT is also featuring a gay kiss in their interval act. Martin Österdahl, the executive producer says they are expecting hard critic for it but think it's important finally to show some attention to the gay community in the show. It hsn't been easy for the gay fans and journalists in some present Eurovision contests in Belgrade and Moscow, not to even mention Baku! But... one question pops into my mind: when did they come up with this idea? Hmm... As we know, the interval and script's jokes and lines are worked until the last minute and for example Björn Gustafsson's part/lines have been cut after dress rehearsasl them being too provocative and causing protests from the commentators. ...

ITALY: IL VOLO GOES SEXY FETISH FOR ROLLING STONE

It may be Halloween or ... I don't know what they have been thinking but the guys of Il Volo are sporting a new look for Rolling Stone magazine. Now I want them to perform like this some arias in their next world tour .... Piero Barone is literally someone else with this beard and no glasses.....
