SANREMO 2022: TERZA SERATA WITH ALL THE SONGS - WHILE BRIVIDI HITS GLOBAL TOP-5

Sanremo's incredible success continues even without Fiorello as it hits the highest second night score since 2005 with 55,8% or 11,3 million viewers, all time high with a peak of 16,2 million and it's also the first time the second night beats the first night! The figures include 72% among those of 15-24 year old so they will surely mess up the ranking with televoting.
Tonight enter the demoscopic jury (50%) and televote (50%) and be ready for the ranking to have a major changes by some artists for sure. The young people are up and watching this year more than ever! RaiPlay had more than one million viewers (up 50% from last year but then again they lifted the geoblock this year), on demand grew 60% and with over 6 million interactions on social media last night was the most commented second night ever.
Another interesting piece of news is Brividi has almost 3,3 million streams in Italy along that pushes it to Spotify's Global Top-5! That clearly means it is already #1 hit in Italy. That is also the highest debut ever for an Italian artist in number of streams.
Tonight Amadeus has Drusilla Foer at his side. She is an alter ego of actor and photographer  Gianluca Gori; a noble woman, singer, actress, writer and all around artist from Florence.
Tonight's guests are writer Roberto Saviano, singer Cesare Cremonini, actress Anna Valle doing promo for another Rai fiction, carabiniere Martina Pigliapoco while Orietta Berti and Rovazzi will host Gaia in their love boat.

Tonight's running order - all 25 will perform voted by demoscopic and televote (50/50):

Giusy Ferreri - Miele
How come she looked so sad or bored tonight?
Highsnob & Hu - Abbi cura di te
I'm warming up to this. A bit.
Fabrizio Moro - Sei tu
Solid and handsome.
Aka7even - Perfetta cosi
So far all in black and a bit of white but here he comes again in colors. Tonight pink and white.
Perfect that way. And he's giving it all tonight. And deserves a huge applause from Ariston.
Massimo Ranieri - Lettera al di lá del mare
A moment to daydream and sway with the music.....
Dargen D'Amico - Dove si balla
Well now, that's a busy wardrobe. My eyes! I kinda wanted to dislike this with passion but it's ... quite nice. Not one for the win or for Eurovision if you ask me, but a nice addition to the line up.
By now it's evident that even the artists are more relaxed tonight compared to the first performance.
He's back to black after wearing granny's laced table cloth the first time. The lyrics are a good repeat of some Italian verbs grammar lessons. A grower.
Ditonellapiaga & Rettore - Chimica
It's a question of chemistry. Indeed. Fun. And a crazy veteran and a young talent.
Michele Bravi - Inverno dei fiori
Last time he asked to stay away from his diary of errors, a wonderful text. Now he asks to teach how to learn to be happy. Touching. I have a soft spot for him.
Rkomi - Insuperabile
Thank goodness he got rid of that jacket! And that's about all there is to tell positive.
Mahmood & Blanco - Brividi
OMG did they just top their first performance? Very intense yet goofy and youthful. Real.
Gianni Morandi - Apri tutte le porte
I guess this is heading to top-5, even top-3....  This has also played in my head today, nothing I can do about it....
My am I thinking of some unidentifued Pet Shop Boys song?! The melody. But that's about the only thing I like .....
Elisa continues in white, juts like when she did in 2001 with Luce (a missed Eurovision winner IMHO). I'm torn between this and Mahmood/Blanco as the winner and Eurovision. Maybe MB win and Elisa second and let her do Torino? Hmmm.... Or the other way round?
La Rappresentante di lista - Ciao ciao
I have a sort of love/hate situation going on with this song. I didn't want to like them, and I kinda still don't but this has been playing in my head all day. A new look again, this time full early 80's pink/black compo, like Carola winning Melfest 1983.....
Iva Zanicchi - Voglio amarti
Like I said before this sounds like a true classic from her past, fits perfectly into her greatest hits album and no one thinks it's a new song. But then again, this is a very old song dusted off only now for the occasion. And I'm not ashamed to say I really like this :-) More relaxed and composed performance from her, too. After standing ovation the first night she said she already got all she wanted and could just go home happy. And no, she wouldn't do Eurovision again should she win.
Achille Lauro - Domenica
Achille found a jacket for tonight and the Harlem mamas are all in black tonight. A lot of cheaky posing and almost strip tease in the end. Clearly tongue in cheek just to piss some people off. Why do I like this so much?
Matteo Romano - Virale
Can't help but think how this would be sung by Mahmood, some vocals seem to recall his way of singing, but Matteo hasn't got a voice like that. Job well done though. And again much better than the first performance.
Ana Mena - Duecentonila ora
She really isn't the greatest live vocalist, especially at the beginning,  the first night wasn't exception. I can't help but thinking likes of Orietta Berti belting this one out......
Sangiovanni - Farfalle
Like Aka7even he's wearing a pink suit. Pink is back! The weak point of the song and performance is Sangiovanni, kinda like the beat, melody and especially the arrangement... But also he does better than the first performance.
Very convincing, more composed performance. Top-5 in sight?
Yuman - Ora e qui
Not much to say this time, sways away slowly without trace.....
Le Vibrazioni - Tantissimo
I may have been a bit too harsh with first hearing. This is quite nice, quite like The Rasmus in UMK. back to past leaving with a question Is this good today? Better performance however than the first one by far.
Giovanni Truppi - Tuo padre, mia madre, Lucia
This needs some concentration but when you jump into the song you are hooked.
I really like the verses but the chorus and uptempo bits don't convince me that much in the end.... Shame, I had high hopes for this one!

And the ranking including the votes from the first three nights by both media (and how it was yesterday thanks to them)

Nina Badrić for Croatia

Croatian TV went for internal selection in the end and chose Nina Badrić. She has been around for almost 20 years and has released ten albums between 1995 and 2011. She has also treid to get to Eurovision four times already without a win (1993, 1994, 1995 and 2003). She is popular also in the other ex-Yogoslavian countries so let those 12s run in.... Listen her here: Moje oci pune ljubavi , Dat ce nam Bog , Nebo and Mama . And lovely Carobno jutro .

Sabina Babayeva for Azerbaijan

The Azerbaijani selection show for the represant was as long as the selection process for the five finalists. Kurt Calleja from Malta and Can Bonomo from Turkey were present with Ell/Nikki to see Sabina Babayeva to emerge as the winner after each and every finalist had done about zillion songs amongst other guests. Now the Azeri TV will shop around a suitable song for her.

SONGS OF THE YEAR 2015: #5 KRISTA SIEGFRIDS - ON & OFF

Krista Siegfrids is delivering nice pop tunes one after another and this one is particularly catchy and soon you will be singing along..... Hopefully her Melodifestivalen entry will be equally good!

FINLAND: LORDI RELEASES SEXORCISM - THEIR 9TH STUDIO ALBUM

Brand new studio album SEXORCISM is released tomorrow, 12 years and 5 days after their monstreous victory in Athens 2006 Eurovision song contest. It is quite possibly the most controversial Lordi album yet and already their 9th stuido album (plus three compilations and one Ep)

ESC 2016 WISH LIST: MARGARET FOR POLAND

Małgorzata Jamroży aka Margaret has also been tipped for Eurovision and apparently she did turn it down but she'd be perfect. She's got a look and persona you can't unnotice nor forget, she's got hit songs, she has been voted or nominated for everything from Trendy artist to the Hope of the Year, Fashion Icon and Glamour Woman of the year besides the usual best video, song, album, debut..... Oh she's also a fashion designer! She's very clever with social medias and would surely use it to her advantage if selected for Stockholm 2016. Her debut album is titled Add the blonde , do we need to say more? Except it includes mostly Swedish written pop tunes like Tell me how are ya , Wasted , Start a fire and Heartbeat . And of course her debut single and internationally noticed Thank you very much that you can enjoy below with all its anti-textil feel. I think she's Eurovision perfection, she's cheeky and fun, can we have her?

SWEDEN TRIES TO STEAL THE FINNISH KISS

We all know about Krista Siegfrids "lesbian kiss" and reactions to it in worldwide media, and especially in some more conservative countries like Turkey, Georgia and Greece (this blogger is still waiting for reactions from Azerbaijan and Russia). But that's not all, SVT is also featuring a gay kiss in their interval act. Martin Österdahl, the executive producer says they are expecting hard critic for it but think it's important finally to show some attention to the gay community in the show. It hsn't been easy for the gay fans and journalists in some present Eurovision contests in Belgrade and Moscow, not to even mention Baku!  But... one question pops into my mind: when did they come up with this idea? Hmm... As we know, the interval and script's jokes and lines are worked until the last minute and for example Björn Gustafsson's part/lines have been cut after dress rehearsasl them being too provocative and causing protests from the commentators. ...

FINLAND: VIRPI KÄTKÄ NARROWLY MISSED THE SURVIVOR FINAL

Virpi Kätkä of CatCat fame came 4th in the Finnish Survivor against all odds, and was even the longest surviving female competitor. She managed to get this far by being friendly and helpful to everyone and staying out of any major fights and double-talk. Or so we thought....  she confessed afterwards it was just the game she played! She was voted out in unison by the remaining guys in a rather ugly way. after Kim won the last challenge and got safety when the other had planned to vote him out. No one wanted to be in the final against Virpi anyways so she would have been next one out perhaps but Kim's victory messed it all up.  Kim is actually Kim Herold, of Humane Euroviisut 2007 (7th) fame. Let's see if he misses the final two as well and is on the next Plane Away.   Virpi took her elimination "the same way I did with Eurovision, five minutes of depression, get over it and that's it!" she told.  And the bikini in top photo she found in Thailand and as ...

THE ABBA REUNION 2016 - WATCH THEM SING TOGETHER AGAIN

The 2016 Eurovision song contest organizers didn't manage it - or any of the previous ones either nor those offering them millions of dollars - but they seem to get together for birthdays, the way the old friends do. Back in 1999 they performed together in a private party for Görel Hansel's 50th birthday, and now to celebrate the first meeting of Björn and Benny 50 years ago. Venue was Stockholm's Bern's Salonger and once again in a private setting but today even they can't stop the cell phone videos and social medias. Enjoy the magic of Frida's and Agnetha's voices again.

FINLAND: REMEMBERING KIRKA

GOODBYE, FAREWELL...

The time has come. After all these years, 5,7 million visits, 12.000 articles I guess the time has come. As much as I love and care for Eurovision it just doesn't feel the same. The Corona years took their toll and the past two years and certain decisions have helped me to mature the idea that next year I will hear the songs for the first time in semi-final just like any so called local.  The bubble has burst. Add the toxicity in social medias and fandom. The arrogant teenagers who saw their first contest somewhere 2017 or even 2021 who think they know it all and only their opinion matters. Did I mention the toxic atmosphere on social medias? I'm too old for that sh*t. It's been a long ride that took me to various Eurovision on spot as a fan and tourist,  as a journalist, as a delegation member. I met some great people, made memories of lifetime. In stressful, sad periods of my life this blog has been my safe place, a place to escape and forget everything else for an hour o...
