If you followed Sanremo 2013 last night you saw the couple Stefano and Federico from Turin reproducing their videoclip live on stage. In the video in the end the do kiss and it was planned on stage as well, even a quick one. But no. It didn't happen.
In short: it fits to have a gay couple on RAI apparently, but do not overdo it. The decision was taken to comply "sensitivity" of all the spectators. To someone that gesture of love between men could have been annoying, seems to be the logic of the argument. Because you know, the festival is by nature traditional (as is its audience). Too bad, though, that the choice to get rid of the kiss between Francesco and Federico promises to raise at least more than a few doubts. Also because their precence was hailed by many as a turning point in the history of the event. Instead it turned out rather a flop. They were introduced without much of a do, and left the stage with timid applause and the show went on without paying much attention to them walking away.... Yet, one must congratulate Fazio for having them. Maybe it was a start after all?
And warmest congratulations to Federico and Stefano, who after 11 years together will be married tomorrow in New York! Auguri!
