Slovenia entered Eurovision in 1993 and has since gathered 3 Top-10 placings with two 7th places (1995, 2001) as the highest score. Since the semifinal was introduced Slovenia made it to the final for the first time last year in Helsinki. For me Slovenia has had some great entries like Tih deževen dan, Dan najlepših sanj, Zbudi se, Energy and Mr Nobody and generally should have done better than they actually did! This year's entry Vrag naj vzame is one of the best ones and I hope Rebeka will make a new Slovenian record in Belgrade!
This year the Slovenian hopes lay on Rebeka Dremelj's pretty shoulders. Personally I loved this entry from the first hearing and it has stayed as my top favourites despite all the other songs chosen after her. Rebeka has personality, the song is easy and catchy. According the polls she should make it to the final and I certainly hope so!
Rebeka (27) finally won the Slovenian selection this year with her 4th attempt. 2005 she already won the first round of voting with Pojdi Z Menoj but lost out to Omar Naber in the superfinal. She is well known in many ex-Yogoslavian states and is a house hold name in her native Slovenia. She has also starred in two films over the years. 
Rebeka started her career modelling and was crowned Miss Slovenia 2001 and represented her country in the Miss World pageant where she landed her first record deal. She was also Miss Photogenic 2001 and Miss Internet's 1st runner up the same year. She's 176 cm tall and measures 90-60-94. Shoe size 40. She speaks besides Slovenian and Serbian English and German.
Not only is Rebeka a singer, actress and tv-host she also has her own lingerie line called Rebeka's Dream (if you wondered why she rolls around bed in underwear in her video....) for women and some items also for men.
