Latvian semifinalists have been announced and you can listen to them here. Like their habit is the artists will be revealed only at later date and for now we can only try and guess who they are. Surely locals and devoted fans will recognize some of the voices and songwriters wo might sing their own songs...
There are 24 songs in total, only four of them in Latvian. A lot of pop and generally rather solid back, none jumps out and screams the winner while none is really horrid either. That means they will come alive or crash and burn once on stage so we have to wait till the semifinals on February 1 and 2, 2014. The final will be on February 22, 2014.
The best title is no doubt Cake to bake, and otherwise these seem to be rather egoistic bunch of artists: I'm happy, I'm here again, If I could, I've got, I can breathe, I need more, I need a soul-twin. They want to go all the way, take away, breathe slow, stay and one thinks you are the reason...
The ones I listened to the end were I need a soul-twin, What if it was, Cake to bake and Lights for a reason or another. .As we remember, this year all the authors must be Latvian (hooray to that!)
