Sweden: Anna gets crisis help - and Björkman the blame

Missing the Eurovision final for the first time since 1958 (when they have wanted to take part) and after 49 entries the 50th turns out a fiasco. Sweden is under shock and apparently people don't know to handle this and take it all too seriously. Ask Finns for help. After all we are experts, after missing every other year in 1990's and many finals have been stopped in semifinals, too.

But last night, after the last envelope that didn't say Sweden but Denmark (a song written by Swedes and rejected from melodifestivale one might like to point out) a silence fell to the Swedish delegation.

Fast forward: Anna locked in a room crying and getting crisis help from SVT. (How very Swedish!)

Fast forward: teary eyed Anna meeting the press with a weak smile.

Meanwhile in Sweden the headlines of tabloids are crying out a fiasco asking should Swedes stop participating? Close down Melodifestivalen? Do Italy and keep Melodifestivalen but stop Eurovision? Fire Christer Björkman and everyone involved? Björkman seems to be getting the most of it. Thankfully. It would have been so easy to blame Anna but it's not her fault. She was great and chosen by the Swedish people.

Meanwhile Sweden missing the final is headline news in both Norway and Finland - maybe with a little hidden pleasure in them? :-)

And after all there are still four Swedish written/produced songs in the final: Azerbaijan, Denmark, Norway, Georgia and Ireland. Oh and Robert Wells for Belarus. Isn't that enough?

Well well, sorry but I do not think that Sweden deserved the song was weak so the performance and they also use the public in order to save a disaster that was foreseen, they think cause they are Sweden they can send whatever they want, like they did in the last years (with Charlotte Nilson exception), I am so sorry, so they want to stop participanting...do so and go for it, other countries have been treated before and after televoting like trash and they are still there, per instance Spain. And yeah the can blame Easteurope for neighbourhood voting but they were the ones starting it back in 1977......the Scandinavian mafia...with the Norway / Sweden / Denmark trio. They have to learn from their mistakes and send better songs to both Melodifestivalen and also Eurovision...

ESC 2014: UKRAINE REVEALS NEANGELY AND THE REST

Ukraine is set to select its entrant for Eurovision 2014 in about two weeks as the final is set on December 21, 2013. Twenty names made it through the casting selection yesterday and will be presented. The winner will be chosen by a jury and televote. Among the 20 some familiar names like NeAngely and names from local The Voice and X Factor as well as New Wave. As usual they didn't give the song titles yet but some songs have leaked already. Beware of changes though. BLUE'S DUNCAN JAMES TALKS SEX AND EUROVISION - AND GETS NAKED AGAIN FOR GT

Blue's Duncan James is showing his new polished muscles and inks in the cover and interview in GT. He also talks about Eurovision saying: "It was a good thing for us in Europe but a bad thing for us in the UK. We wanted to mark our tenth anniversary with something special and representing your country in the biggest music show in the world was pretty special but on the back of Eurovision we didn't even have a second single or album. It was like a big whoopie cusion that deflated. " Being GT, he also talks about sex: “I still enjoy having sex with girls. I find women attractive. Over the years it’s been less and less relationships with girls. So I understand that saying, ‘Bi now, gay later.’ But it’s 2012 and there’s nothing wrong in being open with your sexuality." UMK 2014: MIKKO POHJOLA - SÄNGYN REUNALLA LYRICS

Not quite often song lyrics cause strong reactions, especially in Eurovision. Mikko Pohjola's Sängyn reunalla , a story about unfaithful people and feelings it causes in the people involved is however one. Many of you non Finnish speakers have wondered what it really says after the UMK judge Toni Wirtanen said he was feeling uncomfortable and would like walk to the stage and kick Mikko's ass adding he surely wouldn't like to be the man who's footprints depressions are in the bedroom carpet... Tim Schou has a pretty good solo career going since he left his friends in London. He's travelling the world and relesing songs and videos. The latest one is a great track and comes with a steamy video that kinda takes away from the song really. But who's complaining. If you got it, flaunt it. Enjoy the video below. SWEDEN: MEDS MAKES MÅNS ZELMERLÖW HARD AND NAKED

Earlier this year Måns Zelmerlöw invested some of his money into web pharmacy MEDS and now he's ready to bare it all for its advertising film, which is.... how to put it? The corniest thing I have seen for a long, long time perhaps? Supposed to be funny the way his Eurovision presenting stunts were I presume, but this falls somewhere between embarassing and uncool. Well, we get to admire some over acrting and a lot of naked Måns riding a horse and sporting a hard on at one point. Maybe that's enough to make MEDS a success.... Where's Edward af Sillen when you need him?

ESC 2016 WISH LIST: MARGARET FOR POLAND

Małgorzata Jamroży aka Margaret has also been tipped for Eurovision and apparently she did turn it down but she'd be perfect. She's got a look and persona you can't unnotice nor forget, she's got hit songs, she has been voted or nominated for everything from Trendy artist to the Hope of the Year, Fashion Icon and Glamour Woman of the year besides the usual best video, song, album, debut..... Oh she's also a fashion designer! She's very clever with social medias and would surely use it to her advantage if selected for Stockholm 2016. Her debut album is titled Add the blonde , do we need to say more? Except it includes mostly Swedish written pop tunes like Tell me how are ya , Wasted , Start a fire and Heartbeat . And of course her debut single and internationally noticed Thank you very much that you can enjoy below with all its anti-textil feel. I think she's Eurovision perfection, she's cheeky and fun, can we have her?

MÅNS ZELMERLÖW GETS NAKED FOR THE GOOD CAUSE

Reigning Eurovision song contest champion and the host of the next contest in May 2016 in Stockholm Mäns Zelmerlöw bares it almost all in GT following some other Eurovision stars like Blue and Jedward ( see more here ) All for the good cause of course, prostate cancer - something this blogger can also relate having experienced it in my closest circle. Nothing to laugh about. The annual Naked issue of GT or Gay Times features also several other celebrity men out of their designer fashion and stage or sports outfits. I guess Christmas came early to some fans when they can unwrap their most wished gift already now.... Maybe. But it's not the first time he gets naked.... he did so when hosting the annual QX Gala some years ago. Who knows what he and Petra have in store for us in May?!

CAROLA'S BOOBS STEAL THE SHOW, SVT APOLOGIES

Update! Another thing got Swedes talking last night: Carola's boobs when she was giving away an award. This is not the first time her boombs cause headlines; her misfortunate adventures in the 80's in Japan wer explained with her boobs being too big for Japanese market. Ok.... Or was it the song ? Anyways, Carola apologies and says she thinks the dress is stylish and elegant (even her friends said so) and she's a mature woman in her 40s, not a 16-year-old girl and looks like one. The Swedish Oscars, Guldbagge awards were given out last night. Carola was there as a guest star to sing Barbra Streisand's The way we were when honoring the movie stars who passed away during 2012. However, the cameras were too much on Carola, not on the stars showed in photos in the background and that upset many viewers as that part of the show was to celebrate them, not Carola. Oh well...
