FINLAND: BLIND CHANNEL WINS UMK21 WITH DARK SIDE BY A LANDSLIDE

Finland really, really turned into dark side again when Blind Channel took a very clear win with their violent pop Dark side in the UMK21 final. That was no wonder as the signs were clear in the social medias all throughout the day and evening, but the amount of televotes was: 479 vs. Telfon Brothers feat. Pandora's 150. over 54% of the total. Still not as much as The Roop got in Lithuania though.

This said, YLE did a great job. Each staging had an idea and was well done. Teflon Brothers feat. Pandora was a bit over the top (and vocally clearly the weakest) and one could not think the Darude example when Look away was wonderfully staged in UMK and won, and then it was literally down scaled and watered down for ESC.... All the others gave their best and worked, including Danny with his funeral symbolism and minimalism and Ilta's beautiful staging and touching performance. Oskr and Aksel clearly ate each others votes and if only one of them was in running he would have ended up the runner up most likely. And poor Laura, she really did not have any chance from the start.....

Antti Tuisku was surprisingly good as the host but not being his musical fan there was a bit too much of him musically....

Back to Blind Channel. I wasn't exactly their fan and still the song won't be high on my playlists but it works on stage and it was indeed very effective. So, good luck in Rotterdam!

BLUE'S DUNCAN JAMES TALKS SEX AND EUROVISION - AND GETS NAKED AGAIN FOR GT

Blue's Duncan James is showing his new polished muscles and inks in the cover and interview in GT. He also talks about Eurovision saying: "It was a good thing for us in Europe but a bad thing for us in the UK. ESC 2014: UKRAINE REVEALS NEANGELY AND THE REST

Ukraine is set to select its entrant for Eurovision 2014 in about two weeks as the final is set on December 21, 2013. Twenty names made it through the casting selection yesterday and will be presented. The winner will be chosen by a jury and televote. Among the 20 some familiar names like NeAngely and names from local The Voice and X Factor as well as New Wave. As usual they didn't give the song titles yet but some songs have leaked already. Beware of changes though. UMK 2014: MIKKO POHJOLA - SÄNGYN REUNALLA LYRICS

Not quite often song lyrics cause strong reactions, especially in Eurovision. Mikko Pohjola's Sängyn reunalla , a story about unfaithful people and feelings it causes in the people involved is however one. Many of you non Finnish speakers have wondered what it really says after the UMK judge Toni Wirtanen said he was feeling uncomfortable and would like walk to the stage and kick Mikko's ass adding he surely wouldn't like to be the man who's footprints depressions are in the bedroom carpet... AZERBAIJAN: CHINGIZ SHOWS US THE NEAR NAKED TRUTH

Well, almost. Now that Azerbaijan has risen up to the Top-5 in beting odds to win it all with Chingiz's Truth they are not holding it back and all tricks are welcome to attire some attention. ESC 2016 BELARUS: NAKED WITH WOLVES?

Today's funniest Eurovision related story comes from Belarus. Some sources claim Ivan wants to perform on stage naked and with live wolf or wolves. It surely would be a first on Eurovision stage! We have seen some forgotten underwear over the years, and some cardbox animals though..... Is it time to take things a bit further? No, according the rules live animals are not allowed, and Eurovision being a family show nudity won't do either. (It seems to be ok to be half naked if you are a dancer though..... )

REMEMBERING KIKKA (1964-2005).....

Kikka died ten years ago today. Heart attack took her at the age of 41. Finland's very own Samantha Fox or Sabrina Salerno shot to the fame with her sexy image and provocative but always funny lyrics full of double meanings in the late 1980's. In a year or two all of sudden she was lusted by men, adored by kids and liked by women. A wierd combo that has left a mark in the Finnish music business and her legacy lives on. Her biggest dream was Eurovision and she did take part in the national final Euroviisut in 1992 with Parhaat puoleni (My best parts). Before that she scored twice a third place in the biggest Finnish music contest Syksysn Sävel; 1990 with Sukkula Veenukseen (Shuttle to Venus) and 1991 with Kierrätä, pyöritä mua (Recycle me, roll me over). Her debut single Mä haluun viihdyttää (I want to entertain you) in 1989 was a huge hit while Onnen nainenkin silloin vasta saa (Only then a woman is satisfied) in 1991 was the very first female rap song in Finland. SWEDEN: MEDS MAKES MÅNS ZELMERLÖW HARD AND NAKED

Earlier this year Måns Zelmerlöw invested some of his money into web pharmacy MEDS and now he's ready to bare it all for its advertising film, which is.... how to put it? The corniest thing I have seen for a long, long time perhaps? Supposed to be funny the way his Eurovision presenting stunts were I presume, but this falls somewhere between embarassing and uncool. Well, we get to admire some over acrting and a lot of naked Måns riding a horse and sporting a hard on at one point. Maybe that's enough to make MEDS a success.... Where's Edward af Sillen when you need him?

TIM SCHOU AND HIS NAKED GRAVITY

Tim Schou has a pretty good solo career going since he left his friends in London. He's travelling the world and relesing songs and videos. The latest one is a great track and comes with a steamy video that kinda takes away from the song really. But who's complaining. If you got it, flaunt it. Enjoy the video below. Regina Lund - naked and censored

Regina Lund's new video Jag är osynlig was censored by Youtube only minutes after it had been uploaded. In the video she was playing a female Jesus who gets crusified in the end. "I was shocked!" she says. "There's nothing more naked in it as in every church! It's ok to have naked man hanging on the wall but my nakedness is too much on internet? ". Oh well, no comment. She's prepairing a new album Dare Regina Lund and we of course remember her from her Melodifestivalen 2007 adventure with Rainbow star .
