This news has been all over the websites and blogs so I won't dig into any deeper with it. I'm just happy that my old saying "you can end up 11th in every country and score zero points" isn't valid anymore which is only fair. The whole procedure and the changes that it would have made in 2012 for example are all explained very well here. It's also good to keep in mind this is all that happens behind closed doors (until the full scoreboards are revealed after the final) and will not make any difference to general televison viewer as the system of giving points is still the same: top-10 gets points from 1 to 8, 10 and finally the legendary 12 points. This is only a step towards fairer voting and mixing the televotes and the juries better.
Croatian TV went for internal selection in the end and chose Nina Badrić. She has been around for almost 20 years and has released ten albums between 1995 and 2011. She has also treid to get to Eurovision four times already without a win (1993, 1994, 1995 and 2003). She is popular also in the other ex-Yogoslavian countries so let those 12s run in.... Listen her here: Moje oci pune ljubavi , Dat ce nam Bog , Nebo and Mama . And lovely Carobno jutro .
