Life after Helsinki 2007 Eurovision

Jari Sillanpää's Sinä ansaitset kultaa celebrates 100th consegutive week in the Finnish radio top-100. The ballad climbs again from last week's 84th to this week's 63rd. The song has never made it to number one on radio chart reaching #4 in March 2015 and again in May 2015. It spent four weeks in the official singles chart reaching #13 in January 2015. In download chart it made it to #1 for two weeks in December 2014 and spent there a total of 35 weeks, 12 of them in top-10.  This is no doubt one of the biggest hits of the 2010's in Finland and his biggest one with his debut Satulinna from 1995.... Congratulations!

Last month Petra Mede premiered her very first own floor show in Maxim Theater in Stockholm after being one of the most beloved comedians for over ten years. This is what she tells to QX magazine about the show, Eurovision, being Faghag and what Alcazar Andreas has thought her: "I have had the privilege of constantly getting challenging assignments assigned to me. ... but hold your horses, it's not a new pop album* but yet another Christmas album. But then again, no one belts out Christmas songs like she does! Drömmen on julen (Christmas dream). This one differs from her previous Christmas albums - especially Jul i Betlehem series that she recorded in Betlehem and had some interesting modern arrangements - being mostly piano and strings driven affair, with new unreleased songs mixed with some classics and even instrumentals. The album is a collaboration between Carola, producer Peter Nordahl (Agnetha Fältskog, Måns Zelmerlöw, Jill Johnson etc), and composer Ulla-Carin Nyqvist.  She will hit the road agai with Drömmen om julen tour, that starts from Stavanger (Norway) on November 16, and continues until December 18 with the final gig in Uppsala.  *Her latest pop album is Från nu till evighet (2006), while her latest album release is the tribute album Elvis, Barbra & jag (2011). Sanremo 2015 runner up and the winner of OGAE Second chance contest with Fatti avanti amore will release a new album, Unici , next week. It's his 13th studio album. Uno di questi giorni released this summer was the first single off it, and the title track is released as follow up. There's also one duet in the album, Freud with rapper J Ax. 

Fausto Leali releases his first album in seven years and this time it's fashionable duets album. The lead single is A chi mi dice , originally adapted in Italian by Tiziano Ferro for Blue , originally Breathe easy . Leali belts it out with legendary Mina (last public concert in 1978, but has released dozens of top selling albums since, 1-2 per year generally), the only lady on the album while other duets are with Eurovision veterans Enrico Ruggeri and Umberto Tozzi , and Spandau Ballet's Tony Hadley , just to name a few.  Two years ago he released an autobiography Notti piene di stelle (Nights filled with stars) that celebrated his 50th anniversary in the business.
