Robin Packalen exploded to stardom at 13 with Frontside Ollie. Four multiplatinum albums, several other releases, sold out tours, general hormonal teenage hysteria and 14 top-10 hits later he put a stop on his career, finished his studies, did military service and relaunched his career in English aiming for international career. That never really took off, so maybe previously uninteresting Eurovision could become an interesting opportunity?
Jesse Markin (35) made his breakthrough last year by winning both Newcomer of the year and Critic's choice awards in Emma Gaala (the Finnish Grammys). Born in Liberia he moved to Finland at six with his Ghanan father. After other musical experiences he went solo in 2018 and has then expanded from rapping to singing in both English and Finnish. Last year he also got several other awards and nominations. This fall he took also part in Dancing with the stars.
Alex Mattson aka Aleksi Kaunisveris (23) is the first Finnish DJ/producer to be signed to Grammy award winning Ultra Music label. He debuted in 2016 and has released over a dozen singles since besides producing top Finnish artists and doing remixes for them, incl. Sandhja's Sing it away.
