Tip for Euroviisut 2010: Ville Laaksonen

Ville Laaksonen is a vocal couch, composer and musician who has worked with Antti Tuisku and Nightwish. He also wrote Riikka's Toarie in Euroviisut 2004 and Meren in 2009. He represanted Finland in Jurmala New Wave festival in Latvia this year with Empty streets, The Rasmus's In the shadows and Lara Fabian's I will love again in front of 100 million TV viewers. In this competition it's all about singers, not songs. Each artist performs 3 songs: one from their own repertoire, one international hit and one hit from his/her own country. Dima Bilan is only one of the regular gala performers in this festival and Alla Pugatsova is amongst the organizers. (And now this is what I call a wild guess!!)

ESC 2014: UKRAINE REVEALS NEANGELY AND THE REST

Ukraine is set to select its entrant for Eurovision 2014 in about two weeks as the final is set on December 21, 2013. Twenty names made it through the casting selection yesterday and will be presented. The winner will be chosen by a jury and televote. Among the 20 some familiar names like NeAngely and names from local The Voice and X Factor as well as New Wave. As usual they didn't give the song titles yet but some songs have leaked already. Beware of changes though. UMK 2014: MIKKO POHJOLA - SÄNGYN REUNALLA LYRICS

Not quite often song lyrics cause strong reactions, especially in Eurovision. Mikko Pohjola's Sängyn reunalla , a story about unfaithful people and feelings it causes in the people involved is however one. Many of you non Finnish speakers have wondered what it really says after the UMK judge Toni Wirtanen said he was feeling uncomfortable and would like walk to the stage and kick Mikko's ass adding he surely wouldn't like to be the man who's footprints depressions are in the bedroom carpet...  Here are the lyrics liberally translated by yours truly. AZERBAIJAN: CHINGIZ SHOWS US THE NEAR NAKED TRUTH

Well, almost. Now that Azerbaijan has risen up to the Top-5 in beting odds to win it all with Chingiz's Truth they are not holding it back and all tricks are welcome to attire some attention. ESC 2016 BELARUS: NAKED WITH WOLVES?

Today's funniest Eurovision related story comes from Belarus. Some sources claim Ivan wants to perform on stage naked and with live wolf or wolves. It surely would be a first on Eurovision stage! We have seen some forgotten underwear over the years, and some cardbox animals though..... Is it time to take things a bit further?  No, according the rules live animals are not allowed, and Eurovision being a family show nudity won't do either. (It seems to be ok to be half naked if you are a dancer though..... )

REMEMBERING KIKKA (1964-2005).....

Kikka died ten years ago today. Heart attack took her at the age of 41. Finland's very own Samantha Fox or Sabrina Salerno shot to the fame with her sexy image and provocative but always funny lyrics full of double meanings in the late 1980's. In a year or two all of sudden she was lusted by men, adored by kids and liked by women. A wierd combo that has left a mark in the Finnish music business and her legacy lives on. Her biggest dream was Eurovision and she did take part in the national final Euroviisut in 1992 with Parhaat puoleni (My best parts). Before that she scored twice a third place in the biggest Finnish music contest Syksysn Sävel; 1990 with Sukkula Veenukseen (Shuttle to Venus) and 1991 with Kierrätä, pyöritä mua (Recycle me, roll me over). Her debut single Mä haluun viihdyttää (I want to entertain you) in 1989 was a huge hit while Onnen nainenkin silloin vasta saa (Only then a woman is satisfied)  in 1991 was the very first female rap song in Finland.  H...

SWEDEN: MEDS MAKES MÅNS ZELMERLÖW HARD AND NAKED

Earlier this year Måns Zelmerlöw invested some of his money into web pharmacy MEDS and now he's ready to bare it all for its advertising film, which is.... how to put it? The corniest thing I have seen for a long, long time perhaps? Supposed to be funny the way his Eurovision presenting stunts were I presume, but this falls somewhere between embarassing and uncool. Well, we get to admire some over acrting and a lot of naked Måns riding a horse and sporting a hard on at one point. Maybe that's enough to make MEDS a success.... Where's Edward af Sillen when you need him?

TIM SCHOU AND HIS NAKED GRAVITY

Tim Schou has a pretty good solo career going since he left his friends in London. He's travelling the world and relesing songs and videos. The latest one is a great track and comes with a steamy video that kinda takes away from the song really. But who's complaining. If you got it, flaunt it. Enjoy the video below. Regina Lund - naked and censored

Regina Lund's new video Jag är osynlig was censored by Youtube only minutes after it had been uploaded. In the video she was playing a female Jesus who gets crusified in the end. "I was shocked!" she says. "There's nothing more naked in it as in every church! It's ok to have naked man hanging on the wall but my nakedness is too much on internet? ". Oh well, no comment. She's prepairing a new album Dare Regina Lund and we of course remember her from her Melodifestivalen 2007 adventure with Rainbow star .
