ITALY: SANREMO 2020 QUARTA SERATA/FOURTH NIGHT - LIVE BLOGGING AND COMMENTING

Sanremo 2020 continues its almost unexpected success. The third night scored an average share of 54,5% or 9,8 million viewers, the highest since 1997 and 8% more than last year. Tonight Amadeus with Fiorello and Tiziano Ferro will present the show with presenter Antonella Clerici and Francesca Sofia Novello, a model and Moto GP champion Valentino Rossi's girlfriend.

The guest stars will be Dua Lipa, Ghali, Johnny Dorelli and Gianna Nannini.

The Big will be voted tonight by accredited press only. and their votes will be added to the ones from previous nights.

The Newcvomers will have their final tonight and they will be voted by Demoscopic jury (33%), accredited press (33%) and televote (34%), with the usual duel system.

Ok, we started the night with the official ranking of the three nights and it isn't apparently as simple maths as it seemed in my pevious post as Gabbani is in the lead still!

First Newcomers duel follows immediately and both Tecla and Marco perform with more security and relax. Very different looks and songs. I won't even try to guess, Tecla making it this far was already a surprise.... and yes, she goes to the final with her very classic ballad.
Also in second duel a classic Sanremo (with Lion King ending) versus something a bit different with autotune. I may have a preference for Fasma.... who seems extremely nervous again. And Leo wins with the smallest possible difference. The Newcomers final will be very traditional then.
Why I have a feeling Tecla is going to win this? She'd be the first female winner since Arisa in 2009. Or will Leo's surname have better on her?

It's only the final of Nuove proposte of the Festival della canzone Italiana, who cares?

Eh no, the winner is Leo Gassman with 52,5%. Meanwhile the Critic's awards go to Eugenio in Via Gioia (Mia Martini) and Tecla (Lucia Dalla)

02.10 It's official: Morgan and Bugo have been disqualified and the competition end here. Soon we will get the ranking of tonight voted by the press. One can already imagine it will be quite different from the one by Demoscopic jury. The votes ad to the total of previous three nights and the new full ranking will be revealed tomorrow in the beginning of the show......

And indeedsome major changes: Diodato winner tonight followed by Gabbani so he's certainly still number one. Rancore jumps to 7th, Achille Lauro 9th, Alberto Urso drops last, Zarrillo 20th......

ESC 2016 WISH LIST: MARGARET FOR POLAND

Małgorzata Jamroży aka Margaret has also been tipped for Eurovision and apparently she did turn it down but she'd be perfect. She's got a look and persona you can't unnotice nor forget, she's got hit songs, she has been voted or nominated for everything from Trendy artist to the Hope of the Year, Fashion Icon and Glamour Woman of the year besides the usual best video, song, album, debut..... Oh she's also a fashion designer! She's very clever with social medias and would surely use it to her advantage if selected for Stockholm 2016. Her debut album is titled Add the blonde , do we need to say more? Except it includes mostly Swedish written pop tunes like Tell me how are ya , Wasted , Start a fire and Heartbeat . And of course her debut single and internationally noticed Thank you very much that you can enjoy below with all its anti-textil feel. I think she's Eurovision perfection, she's cheeky and fun, can we have her?

ESC 2016 BELARUS: NAKED WITH WOLVES?

Today's funniest Eurovision related story comes from Belarus. Some sources claim Ivan wants to perform on stage naked and with live wolf or wolves. It surely would be a first on Eurovision stage! We have seen some forgotten underwear over the years, and some cardbox animals though..... Is it time to take things a bit further? No, according the rules live animals are not allowed, and Eurovision being a family show nudity won't do either. (It seems to be ok to be half naked if you are a dancer though..... )

GOODBYE, FAREWELL...

The time has come. After all these years, 5,7 million visits, 12.000 articles I guess the time has come. As much as I love and care for Eurovision it just doesn't feel the same. The Corona years took their toll and the past two years and certain decisions have helped me to mature the idea that next year I will hear the songs for the first time in semi-final just like any so called local. The bubble has burst. Add the toxicity in social medias and fandom. The arrogant teenagers who saw their first contest somewhere 2017 or even 2021 who think they know it all and only their opinion matters. Did I mention the toxic atmosphere on social medias? I'm too old for that sh*t. It's been a long ride that took me to various Eurovision on spot as a fan and tourist, as a journalist, as a delegation member. I met some great people, made memories of lifetime. In stressful, sad periods of my life this blog has been my safe place, a place to escape and forget everything else for an hour o...

Update! Another thing got Swedes talking last night: Carola's boobs when she was giving away an award. ESC 2016 ARMENIA: IT'S IVETA MUKUCHYAN!

Armenian tv has revealed tonight the name of their artist for the 2016 Eurovision song contest in Stockholm. It's 29-year-old Iveta Mukuchyan. Born in Yerevan she moved with her family to Germany when she was 6. At 23 she moved back to Armenia and continued her music studies. She has taken part in the Armenian Pop Idol finishing 5th in 2010 and she also did The Voice of Germany . In 2012 she was voted the Sexiest Armenian. Armenian tv has made a call for songwriters all over the world to submit a song for her by November 13, 2015. Let's see which direction the final choice will go, Freak or her latest release that you can hear below.... Whatever it is it will be an improvement from last year's fiasco.....

MÅNS ZELMERLÖW GETS NAKED FOR THE GOOD CAUSE

Reigning Eurovision song contest champion and the host of the next contest in May 2016 in Stockholm Mäns Zelmerlöw bares it almost all in GT following some other Eurovision stars like Blue and Jedward ( see more here ) All for the good cause of course, prostate cancer - something this blogger can also relate having experienced it in my closest circle. Nothing to laugh about. The annual Naked issue of GT or Gay Times features also several other celebrity men out of their designer fashion and stage or sports outfits. I guess Christmas came early to some fans when they can unwrap their most wished gift already now.... Maybe. ITALY: WHO ARE MÅNESKIN - EUROVISION 2021 WINNERS? CAREER IN WORDS AND PHOTOS

"Siamo fuori di testa, ma diversi da loro" they wrote in Instagram already in May 2017. The street musicians from Rome have gone a long via X Factor to Sanremo and to Eurovision in a short time. As I didn't do any artist presentations this year, and to be honest I'm not so familiar with Måneskin, let's do a short biography who they are and what they have been up to in the past few years. The band is made of lead singer Damiano David (21), Victoria De Angelis (20) in bass, Thomas Raggi (19) in guitar and Ethan Torchio (20) in drums. Novembre 2015.
