After Like a virgin Madonna continued with three different but very successful singles in 1985: Material girl, Crazy for you and Angel.
Material girl**** followed Like a virgin's mega success and went to number one all over the world, and made the title her nickname. Madonna has stated had she known it she may have never recorded the song! It went to number 2 in Top-100, number 1 in Dance chart and number 3 in the UK. The video is legendary reproduction of Marilyn Monroe in Gentlemen prefer blonds and she also met her future husband while filming it.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3IY_Tp4Izs
Crazy for you**** was taken from the movie Vision Quest where Madonna performed it as a nightclub singer in a cameo. It went to number 1 in the US and number 2 in the UK (twice, original release in 1985 and re-release in 1991!). It was also a number 1 in Australia, Canada and Japan. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqupymY5IwQ
Angel***** is one of my favorites but lesser known Madonna singles. In 1985 she had so many singles all over the charts this was shadowed by the others, I guess. In the US it featured Into the Groove on the B-side, while elsewhere Into the Groove was released separately. Some releases include Burning up on B-side. No new video was made, nor Madonna has performed this on any of her tours. Number 1 in Australia and in Dance charts, number 5 in Top-100 and UK. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjvPW_3VOiA
