Waldo's People are getting ready for Moscow and the strategy's being finalized. "We will keep eye on Romania who performs just before us. If Elena has for example a lot of pyros, we will change ours. There must be a contrast. The stage is 22 meters wide, the show must fill it all" declares Waldo. "We also dropped the Swedish backing singers we had in Euroviisut, mainly because Annie is pregnant and the hard trip to Moscow would not be wise for a woman on her 7th month of pregnancy. Also bringing the girls from Sweden all the time for the rehearsals in Finland would have cost a lot of money so Greta won't be there either. Instead we will have Capri and Manna from Finland."
Waldo is not very happy with the PR situation though. "We wanted to some PR in Europe as we think it's important but our record company and YLE didn't warm up to the idea. Finland is doing zero PR abroad!" he protests. "However radio is also very useful. I have done a lot of interviews via phone and emails. Getting to playlists is great. Also in YouTube we have had over one million views". Katja Toivanen from Sony Music thinks PR abroad was not necessary. "Our entry is already in playlists in Sweden and Russia for example, that's very important" she says.
I personally may agree with Waldo rather than Katja how they are handling the matters. I have written to most countries again this year and have gotten answers, of some kind, from most of them. From Finland once again nothing (same in the past 4 years). I have written asking for general information. No answer. I have written asking where to buy the CD-single they have been saying is out there for weeks now. No answer. I know it is number one in the Top-40 but I have never seen it in any shop in Helsinki, nor no seller has been able to give any information if and when they would have it, or if they ever have it. Could Sony make it clear for once and all?
