Loreen of Sweden is the 15th previous Eurovision song contest winner who has decided and/or managed give it another try. Only Ireland's Johnny Logan has managed to win twice, as we all know. One can't really do a ranking however as the contest had changed so much from the 1950's with maybe a dozen songs to the approx 40 we have these days. In coming days I will feature the winners who decided to come back after winning the contest as there also many winners who have won with their second or third try.
Late Jean-Claude Pascal (1927-1992) gave Luxemburg their very first win in 1961 with Nous les amoureux, a song that tells a homosexual story but of course in the 1960's it was all ambiguous and considered a simple love song. The ex-war hero, Dior fashion designer, actor, imitator, writer and singer returned for Luxemburg in 1981 with a song he co-wrote, C'est peut-être pas l'Amérique. but placed only 11th. Anyways, the real chanteur du charme brought some old time elegance to the contest.
1961 Luxemburg - Jean-Claude Pascal - Nous les amoureux 1./16
1981 Luxemburg - Jean-Claude Pascal - C'est peut-être pas l'Amérique 11./20
