Portugal's method of choosing composers for Festival da Canção and giving them free hands gave them their long awaited first victory, a couple of very different entries with variable success and the masterpiece that was Saudade, saudade this year so there's no point of changing it. FdC has turned out to be one of the most interesting and innovative national finals, something that Eesti laul used to be, if not the best in the past few years. Also this year promises everything from fado to rock and indie and everything in between. Can't wait!
