ISRAEL - EDEN ALENE - FEKER LIBI
One of my biggest favorites this year! This song just makes me so happy every time I hear it and makes me wanna sing a long. And it does play quite often in my head radio as well. She's great, all the final songs were Eurovision worthy tbh but this was my favorite. I totally understand those who says it's a mess, too many genres and sounds put together, too many languages and all that but I have always listened this kind of music so for me it's just great hommage to late Ofra Haza and others, and if Idan Rachel is involved I like it already. A very strong 9/10
ROMANIA - ROXEN - ALCOHOL YOU
For a long time I didn't get this song at all, but then eventually with further listenings I learned to like it. The melody is pretty, the arrangement and her voice quite nicely rusty. A bit forgettable though I'm afraid despite the word play I didn't get either... Still it's not quite there, especially if compared to Bulgaria. 7/10
BULGARIA - VICTORIA - TEARS GETTING SOBER
Like Romania I didn't pay much attention to this at first and wondered how come it was so high on betting odds. Then the melody slowly sneaked into my head radio and I realized the melody is really pretty. This song has similar kind of underwhelming simple charm that Amar pelos dois had. She sings it well and fits nicely to the whole package. Comparison to Romania comes easy, and it's no coincidence I have them both here back to back. Where Alcohol you drags on for three minutes this one develops and grows and the three minutes feel very short actually, I want more! Easily the better one of these two. 8/10
LATVIA - SAMANTA TINA - I'M STILL BREATHING
This one battles with Armenia the title of the most annoying song this year, and this one wins. It's just beats and shouting for my old ears. Simply can't see or hear what the fandom sees or hears in this? Not Samanta's fault, she's done some nice songs and can sing, no doubt about that but this one I really don't care to listen to never again after this... 2/10
