Paula Seling (36) is a Romanian singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, performer, TV personality and entertainer. In her career she has won most every award in Romania. She is an outspoken supporter of personal freedoms, individual rights and human rights. Ovidiu Cernăuţeanu (39) aka OVI is a multitalented singer, songwriter, producer and musician making career also in Norway. They already came 3rd in Eurovision 2010 together. Now they are after a Miracle.
Robert: Romania had a pretty decent
preselection this year. After hearing all the studio versions, it was
Letting go by Renee Santana & Mike Diamondz that I loved the most. Unfortunately the song did not stand out “live “in their
national final. Paula & Ovi had definitely the most professional
performance and their is also a certain charisma between them on
stage that makes it very pleasant to watch them. I cannot help
comparing the song Miracle with their former Eurovision song Playing with fire which made it till nr 3. For me, Miracle is a bit less but
certainly still good enough to make it to the final and to a final
top 10.
Blogilkar: I also liked Renee & Mike until it fell apart on stage. In the end my favorite was another duet, Stefan Stan feat Teddy K and their Breathe. I was expecting a disaster on stage after the beautiful video, but it worked well. The winning song Miracle, yet another duet, was pre-announced the winner and who knows how much the hype helped it. I think it's a very mediocre affair, built to fit Eurovision formula and Paula even gets to scream her heart out again, just like in Playing with fire. Only that this time this showstopper part feels very glued on and akward. I wouldn't be surprised if this was a shock non-qualifier...... But then, I never cared so much for their previous entry either....
