Now the moment everybody's been waiting for, Italy! Well, I have been at least. First of all I adore Nina Zilli, and mind you even before she got the ticket to Baku 2012. The backdrop is simply white and black, maybe taking inspiration from Nina's video shot in EUR in Rome and Nina is doing her 60's girlpop kind of choreography. The three backing singers seem to have no choreography at all but just being spontaneously moving to the beat with occasional hand movements. On purpose or unrehearsed? My bet is on the latter but it has never stopped Italy doing well - remember Toto Cutugno and his backing choir he only met in Zagreb? Also, if it's by purpose it fits this kind of song so I'm happy with this as it is. Nina sings well and she looks great on screen. Italy has all the chances to emerge as a compromise winner if the televoters and juries should vote very differently on certain entries. It's also the only song in this genre so that will help surely, too. Forza Italia! More here. (I so want to go to Italy for Eurovision 2013 and not sit here at home staring the things on screen...)
Małgorzata Jamroży aka Margaret has also been tipped for Eurovision and apparently she did turn it down but she'd be perfect. She's got a look and persona you can't unnotice nor forget, she's got hit songs, she has been voted or nominated for everything from Trendy artist to the Hope of the Year, Fashion Icon and Glamour Woman of the year besides the usual best video, song, album, debut..... Oh she's also a fashion designer! She's very clever with social medias and would surely use it to her advantage if selected for Stockholm 2016. Her debut album is titled Add the blonde , do we need to say more? Except it includes mostly Swedish written pop tunes like Tell me how are ya , Wasted , Start a fire and Heartbeat . And of course her debut single and internationally noticed Thank you very much that you can enjoy below with all its anti-textil feel. I think she's Eurovision perfection, she's cheeky and fun, can we have her?
